SEEKING CREATIVE PARTNERS

Are you a writer, art director or artist? In the ad field but more interested in TV, film and art? Not into agency culture? Love to collaborate on projects?

I’ve made a good living as both a graphic designer and, now, a copywriter in advertising.

Now, I’m looking for a creative partner or partners to write and create a reel of low budget shorts –– satire, comedy and commercial parody. We're doing this for a career boost and, if we work well together, to forge a longer lasting creative partnership.

Things I like: Liam Sullivan, Olde English, WonderShowzen, The Andy Milonakis Show, Shynola, The Onion, The Daily Show. Films by Charlie Kaufman and Michel Gondry . And blogs like Gawker.

I’m also very interested in subversive art in the form of ad campaigns—the work of Shawn Wolfe and Shepard Fairey.

I live this stuff, researching voraciously and coming up with great concepts. I’m seeking someone creative who is also organized and into arranging and editing in a broad sense.

The goal is to expand ourselves, creatively. I’m certainly open to working on things that will boost our ad careers or your _________ career.

Feel free to look at some of my ad copy here:

There should be a lot of people here who should take you up on this notion and offer, instead of whining about whatever. One suggestion, focus on an effort that addresses some type of a real problem, for a real client; that you can suggest a new, different, improved, unique, or better yet workable solution. That way every portfolio sample and fun project and social commentary has the opportunity to happen if you pitch it properly to these real clients once you have completed it and try to get them to use you approach.

Hey Patrick. If you write some shorts, check out Group101films.Com. They're a school for commercial directors - if you're script is chosen your spot might get shot for free.
